The Indian community in Zimbabwe marked the Holi festival also known as the festival of colours aimed at celebrating love, life and cultural diversity.
Indian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Runsung Masakui said the festival is meant to share cultural diversity and is a season to express love to everyone.
Zimbabwean ambassadors to Spain, Brazil and Turkey graced the occasion and highlighted the importance of embracing different cultures in order to promote closer relations with one another.
Dzikwa Trust founder, Mr Seppo Ainamo and the trust’s marimba brand entertained the crowd.
Holi is a Hindu spring festival celebrated across India and Nepal, among Hindus in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
It is also celebrated as a thanksgiving for a good harvest.
Lasting for a night and a day, the religious festival has also become popular with non-Hindus in many parts of south Asia and beyond.
