indians.jpgMembers of the Indian Community in Zimbabwe came together over the weekend in celebrating a cultural festival ceremony, aimed at promoting peace and preserving their culture.

The Indian community celebrated their Holy Festival as members took time to take stock of their achievements.

The members of the community took time to rejoice through painting, dance and song.

Indian Embassy in Zimbabwe Second Secretary, Mr. Mukesh Kumar, said in terms of the Holy Festival, members of the Indian community are also celebrating peace and stability.

“We hope that this festival shall continue as we focus on the successes of our country,” said Mr Kumar.

At the holy festival ceremony, members of the Indian community in Zimbabwe also took time to exchange ideas on social, cultural and business issues.


The festival which takes place after the harvest in all Indian communities, depicts in colour, a time of peace and forgiveness.
