The children aged between 5 and 10 years suffer from an inherited gene disorder and get their blood transfusions at a public hospital in Junagadh District.

Hospital authorities have denied that the children were infected by their blood supplies.

Government figures reveal that about 2,5 million people in India have the HIV virus.
