vp mujuru indian del.pngVisiting Indian Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia has expressed the Asian nation’s commitment to the continued consolidation of investment opportunities in Zimbabwe in a manner that is beneficial to locals.

Mr. Scindia was speaking after paying a courtesy call on Vice President Joice Mujuru where he led a delegation of business people from his country.

Mr. Scindia said his country is committed to investing in Zimbabwe in a way that is beneficial to local indigenous people.


“Many of our Indian companies are here in Zimbabwe…..what we would want to see is much more cooperation between our two countries,” said Mr. Scindia.

Outgoing Japanese ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr. Koichi Morita who also paid courtesy call on Vice President Mujuru said business people from his country will continue seeking areas of investment in Zimbabwe.


“I feel we can enhance our bilateral relations…..I told her (VP Mujuru) that I always encourage Japanese business people to invest in Zimbabwe,” he said.

Since Zimbabwe embarked on an aggressive Look East Policy, business people from different Asian countries have sought and established investment opportunities in different sectors of the economy.
