Murombedzi residents are smiling at the goodness of nature as their mango trees produced in abundance this season affording them a viable business that has taken off the worry of school fees and other financial needs.


Travelling from Harare to Murombedzi the sight of vendors bustling in the business of mango selling is a common feature during this time of the year.

Locals within the area say they are reaping the benefits of nurturing this tropical fruit which has brought a huge financial relief through its sell.

Motorists just cannot seem to resist the attraction of the so inviting yellow ripe oranges or the green turpentine commonly referred to as the bull mango which they say buying it here, one is assured of its full freshness.

The mango fruit is one of the most popular nutritionally rich fruits with unique flavour, fragrance, taste and health promoting qualities making it number one among new functional foods often labelled as 'super fruits'.

According to new research study, the mango fruit has been found to protect against colon, breast, leukaemia and prostate cancers.
