Utilise Zim-China ties, business urged PDF Print E-mail

Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to China Mr Paul Chikawa has urged the business communities of both countries to take advantage of the recent bilateral meeting between Presidents' Robert Mugabe and Xi Jin Ping.


Ambassador Chikawa told the ZBC News that the meeting between President Mugabe and his Chinese counterpart President Xi is a moment that most businesses should seize.

The Zimbabwean Ambassador to China said the two leaders have provided an important platform of engagement in business based on sound unwavering political ties.

The two leaders met in Beijing where they pledged to continue working together for the promotion of bilaterals between their nations.

During the meeting President Xi said the friendship which was jointly created by President Mugabe and the older generations of Chinese leaders has withstood the test of time.

In response President Mugabe said China has been offering great help to economic and social development of the African countries including Zimbabwe over a long period and African countries are taking active steps to promote the implementation of the 10-major cooperation plans announced by President Xi at the Johannesburg Summit.
