A celebratory mood has filled Binga and other parts of Matabeleland North Province as the country prepares to commemorate the 37th independence celebrations this Tuesday (tomorrow).

The country commemorates 37 years of independence tomorrow with the people in Binga expressing gratitude to the country`s leadership for ensuring peace and stability in the country.

Among some of the benefits of independence are women empowerment initiatives, the awarding of fishing permits as well as the distribution of farming inputs for the command agriculture programme.

People who spoke to ZBC News in the district say Independence Day must be promoted from grassroot levels to ensure that the future generations have an appreciation of the history of the country.

Meanwhile, all is set for tomorrow`s event in all the seven districts of the province and the public is being called upon to turn out in their numbers.

The provincial commemorations will be held at Somhlolo Stadium in Lupane
