Zimbabweans have been invited to go out in their numbers to the National Sports Stadium for the inauguration of President-elect Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa tomorrow.
Following the Constitutional Court ruling yesterday, final touches were being made for the inauguration process this Sunday at the giant stadium.
Speaking to the ZBC News in the capital this Saturday, Harare Metropolitan Province Minister of State Cde Miriam Chikukwa said 80 buses have been availed for Harare province and 10 for each province to ferry people to and from the stadium for inauguration ceremony.
Cde Chikukwa said in Harare buses will be available from 6am at the usual pick up points.
She also appealed to members of the public with their own vehicles attending the ceremony to help others with transport for the big event.
“People are being encouraged to come out in numbers for the inauguration ceremony of our president Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa. Buses will start carrying people from 6am,” said Cde Chikukwa.
Cde Chikukwa urged the people to celebrate in peace and harmony, since it is the President-elect’s wishes.
She called on those who will be using buses to desist from unbecoming behaviour such as climbing on top of buses or hanging out on windows, saying law enforcement agencies will not hesitate to descend on offenders.
