The government says it will soon embark on a road rehabilitation programme and borehole drilling project for chiefs so as to improve the lives of the rural population.

This was revealed by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing Cde George Magosvongwe while addressing rural local authorities in the capital.

While efforts have been made to ensure accessible road infrastructure and provision of portable water in most rural areas there still remains a huge need for increased development as other areas have not yet been catered for.
