ibwo.jpgThe Indigenous Businesswomen Organization, IBWO, has raised concern over the continuous power outrages and has described it as a setback which requires urgent attention from relevant authorities to protect industry from collapse.
The past few weeks have seen power shortages affecting industrial sites and central business districts.

IBWO has raised concern regarding the time frame saying government should find solutions urgently.

In an interview with ZBC News in the capital IBWO President,  Dr Jane Mutasa said swift intervention is inevitable if the country’s economy is to realize the envisaged growth adding that most industries have resorted to generators a development which pushes prices upwards.

Over the years, concern has been raised over poor service delivery from the power utility which later indicated that lack of investment in the energy sector has been the stumbling block as there is old equipment in most of the power generating stations.
