PHD leader and owner of premiership debutants, Yadah FC, Prophet Walter Magaya has bemoaned lack of support towards the sports sector, pointing to the need for more government support in stimulating the transformation of the sporting industry.
Running a football club appears to have given Prophet Magaya lots of headaches with the Yadah FC founder indicating he almost quit in his quest to run a professional football club.
In an exclusive interview with the ZBC News on current affairs show, Sports Perspectives which will be screened this Saturday at 9.pm, Prophet Magaya said the government needs to be more involved in stimulating the transformation of the sports sector.
Yadah FC began life in the premiership with a nil-all draw against Harare City at the weekend and Magaya is positive that his side has what it takes to challenge for honours.
Composed of young talent which includes U-20 star, Leeroy Mavhunga, Yadah FC will this weekend look to build on the their opening PSL draw when they face off with ZPC Kariba on Friday.
