40 professional golfers are set to participate in the 2017 edition of the Hwange Open golf tournament to be staged this weekend in Hwange.
Organisers of the annual Hwange Open golf are optimistic of a successful tournament and are convinced that they have done enough homework.
The local organising committee led by club captain Morgan Gorerino are busy with the final preparations for the competition that gets underway with a pro-arm tournament.
Hwange Colliery public relations manager, Rugare Dhobbie said it is all systems go adding that the organisers are satisfied with the positive response from the company’s corporate partners.
According to figures obtained from the club, a total of 40 professional golfers are set to take part while at least 100 amateur golfers will also compete.
A lot of work has been done to the greens in the build up to the tournament.
Amateur golfer Never Milazi was the overall champion at the 2016 edition of the Hwange Golf Open.
