Hwange Football Club has wielded the axe on the entire technical team following a string of poor results in the first half of the season.
Hwange Colliery Corporate Affairs Manager Rugare Dhobbie confirmed the development saying Hwange FC just like any other team had to take that decision since football is a result-oriented game.
The technical bench comprising of head coach Nation Dube and assistant coach Mebelo Njekwa were relieved of their duties on Wednesday.
Dhobbie said the decision to wield the axe on the whole technical team was reached since they work together, succeed and fail as one.
Asked on who is taking over, the corporate affairs manager said the executive is currently in the process of identifying the best candidate for the job.
ZBC News is reliably informed that Luke Masomere, Masimba Dinyero and Bigboy Mawiwi attended interviews for the job.
Hwange has lost their well-known Chipangano fine action lustre which saw them competing and killing giants at the Colliery.
Last season, Chipangano were under the tutelage of Njekwa while coach Dube was implicated in match-fixing allegations.
Following his exoneration from the allegations by ZIFA, Hwange had to engage the services of their trusted lieutenant.
Hwange FC finished the first round of matches on 14 points.
The club also had a player exodus this season with marksman and goal poacher Gift Mbweti joining FC Platinum, Nathan Sianchali joining premiership returnees Bantu Rovers and Phakamani Dube joining the Glamour Boys, Dynamos.
