body building 2.jpgOne of the country’s top bodybuilders, Victor Hungwe, has scored a first by becoming the first Zimbabwean to win the Shameem Classic bodybuilding contest held in Cape Town, South Africa on Saturday.

The muscleman who flexed his way to glory at the Mr. Pro-Fitness bodybuilding contest late last year, transferred his resilience and dominance onto the regional stage with a commanding showing that sealed first place in the under 95 kilogramme category, before emerging the overall winner at the Shameem bodybuilding competition in Cape Town on Saturday.

Hungwe who finished fourth in his maiden appearance at the same competition last year said his triumph down south was a humbling experience which he’ll use as a springboard to greater accomplishments during the course of the year.

“It’s a great achievement for me since it was only my second time taking part in an international tournament. I feel honoured to be the first Zimbabwean to win this competition against top bodybuilders,” said the muscleman.

After making his presence felt at the bodybuilding contest in Cape Town, Hungwe hopes to replicate the same performance at the South African Nationals slated for August.

The muscleman will also embark on a mission to defend his Mr. Pro-Fitness title and challenging for honours in the Mr Iron Man and Mr Zimbabwe bodybuilding competitions.
