After missing their encounter against Dynamos resulting in a 6-0 drubbing at Barbourfields stadium last Thursday, How Mine players returned to action to a 2-1 victory over struggling Bantu Rovers.
The gold miners’ side was rocked by bonuses chaos which resulted in a number of players downing their tools before their midweek encounter against Dynamos.
According to the club head coach Kelvin Kaindu, it took spirited efforts to convince the players to take part in the weekend fixture against a youthful Bantu Rovers.
It was a different tune from his opposite number Methembe Ndlovu, who believes Tshintsha Guluva lost the match owing to being hard done by poor match officiating on the day.
As the season’s homestretch beckons, Kaindu will be banking on his side’s impressive record of not having lost to any Bulawayo team in the current campaign while Bantu Rovers will be hoping their youngsters start to turn their potential to results.
