Zimbabwe’s tourism sector continues to register a strong performance with hotel room occupancy reaching 100 percent in some tourist resorts, a feat that was last seen more than two decades ago.

Various sectors of the economy are showing great signs of recovery owing to the reforms being implemented by the government.

The tourism sector has also benefited from the change in perception under the new dispensation as hotel occupancy in various tourist resorts is reaching 100 percent, something that has not happened for a very long time.

Overally, Zimbabwe tourism sector registered strong performance in the first quarter if revenue and tourists arrivals is anything to go by.

The future of tourism in Zimbabwe looks very bright with revelations by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) that an investment deal to build a tourism city in Zimbabwe will soon be signed with a Chinese company.
