The Harare City Hornets and JBC match played a fortnight ago might be replayed with indications the Harare Basketball Association (HBA) disciplinary hearing met to deliberate on the controversial game.
City Hornets are in hot soup after using an illegible player for their tie against JBC a fortnight ago.
The HBA quartet disciplinary hearing chaired by Warren Chiwawa met today to iron out the confusion characterising the match which Hornets won 14-3.
HBA spokesperson Carlos Munda said his association will abide by the outcome of the hearing.
“As you know the tie between Hornets and JBC was marred with controversy a fortnight ago hence the disciplinary committee is sitting to deliberate on it,” he said.
Hornets sit on second position on the men’s log with 30 points one ahead of third placed JBC.
Going for tomorrow’s ties, unbeaten Harare City and JBC are involved in a serious tussle for the championship with five games to go before the curtain comes down on the HBA season.
Hornets are on pole position on 41 points while JBC women are second on 38 points with Vixens on third spot with 37 points.
