Zimbabwe’s premier arts event, the Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA) is set for a grand return after the event failed to take place last year.
HIFA Associate Executive Director, Tafadzwa Simba said the event that will run under the theme: ‘Staging an Intervention,’ is set to be a huge and joyful celebration of music of all types, theatre, dance, visual arts, crafts and young people’s programming
He added that the festival scheduled for the 2nd to the 7th of May will feature high profile local and international artists that include UK’s biggest selling opera star, Tenor Noah Stewart, acclaimed pianist Soojin Anjou and Oliver Mutukudzi, among a wide array of artists.
He also said the festival will see other unique programmes being included in the six day event with films being one such inclusion.
HIFA presents an opportunity for local artists to market their talents while providing entertainment to the generality of Zimbabweans.
