Caps United suffered a heart breaking loss in front of their fans, losing 2-4 to Libyan side Al Ahli Tripoli at the National Sports Stadium this afternoon.

The home side started poorly, conceding a penalty just a few minutes into the game after a crude tackle by defender Justice Jangano in the box.

Tripoli made no mistake, and scored another two quick goals to take control of the game leading into half time.

In the second half, Caps found themselves 0-4 down but mounted a futile fight-back to lose the match 2-4.

Ronald Pfumbidzayi converted from the penalty spot before captain, Hardlife Zvirekwi pulled another goal just a few minutes before full time.

Caps have 3 points from 3 games after losing their first match 2-nil to Zamaleck of Egypt and winning 2-1 against USM Alger of Algeria last week.

Their next assignment is against Al Ahli Tripoli.
