The Harare Basketball Association (HBA) is now looking beyond the 2018/19 season and has shifted attention to the Basketball Union of Zimbabwe (BUZ) national championship qualifiers slated for Harare and Bulawayo from the 19th to the 21st of this month.
The HBA league came to an end with Harare City Hornets men and ladies’ teams ruling the roost after winning titles in both categories without recording any defeats.
However, attention will now shift to the BUZ national championship qualifiers this Easter holiday.
HBA Spokesperson, Carlos Munda expressed optimism that the association’s representatives at the BUZ national championship qualifiers, Harare City Hornets will continue to shine.
The BUZ national championship finals will feature 24 teams; 12 men and 12 women’s teams, which will battle it out for top honours at the country’s most prestigious basketball tournament slated for Mutare, Manicaland province from the 3rd to the 5th of May.
