The inflow of people to this year’s show has been tremendous as the first three days recorded more than 8000 people passing through the gates compared to 5000 people recorded last year at the same time.

ZAS Spokesperson, Sibongikosi Muteiwa expressed satisfaction with the quality of products being exhibited this year and attributed it to more innovation by local companies.

He added that the Harare Agriculture Show has this year received tremendous response from the members of the public and potential investors compared to the past three years.

The agricultural show school day, which fell on the 23rd of this month, today, saw many school children in uniform getting into the exhibition centre without paying, in a move aimed at exposing them to what the country has to offer.

Exhibitors who spoke to ZBC News said this year the agriculture show has greatly improved.

“The response from both exhibitors and the members of the public is overwhelming and I believe that brisk business will be recorded as compared to a few years back,” said one man who toured the exhibition park.

This year is the 101 edition of the Harare Agricultural Show, which is one of the most attractive business and farming expo within the Southern African region.
