Tafadzwa Keni and Media Mafuta scooped the most valuable player accolades in the men and female categories of the Harare Volleyball Association awards for the 2017 season. 

The Harare Volleyball Association on Saturday honoured teams, players and coaches that excelled in the 2017 season at an awards ceremony held at Queen Elizabeth High School.

Keni was rewarded for his feats at UZ Wolves after scooping the Most Valuable Player award in the men’s category.

Mafuta of Harare City landed the most valuable accolade in the women’s category to cap off a day to remember for her team that was also handed their silverware after finishing the 2017 season as champions.

In the men’s section, Support Unit were the top team after claiming pole position ahead of UZ Wolves and Naba.

Keni and Mafuta were both elated to have scooped the most valuable player of the year accolades.

Michael Chikwiriro was voted the Referee of the Year, with Tendai Matema scooping the Best Coach award in the women’s category.

Munyaradzi Mavhima was voted Coach of the Year in the men’s category of individual prizes.
