The Harare Metropolitan Province has embarked on a comprehensive programme to implement agreements signed with the Chinese government.
This comes as the province is working on achieving devolution targets.
Harare Metropolitan Province is the face of Zimbabwe and driving of the national agenda should be the main priority.
Minister of State for Harare Metropolitan Province Honourable Oliver Chidawu said the province is on a drive to implement all agreements signed with the Chinese government.
This came out after the Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Guo Shaochun paid a courtesy call on Honourable Chidawu.
The Morton Jeffrey Water Works (MJWW) is among the priority projects of the province.
The Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe said he will make sure all the projects come to fruition for the benefit of Zimbabweans.
Apart from the MJWW, Harare Province has long term projects to ease the water challenges and the minister believes the Kunzvi Dam project can be financed by the local authority.
Transparency and accountability by the local authority for revenue collected has been cited as key in resource mobilisation and completion of the project.
