The City of Harare says they are targeting to build at least one library and a clinic per year given the growth of the population in the capital.

Speaking during a ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a library in Glen Norah Harare Mayor Councillor Bernard Manyenyeni said the city continues to expand due to increased population hence the need to build new infrastructure which will accommodate nearly 500 learners at a go.

Harare Acting Town Clerk Engineer Hosiah Chisango said it is important for them to ensure the project is completed in time for the community to benefit.

The library which will be built at Glen Norah Park is reported to be worth $2 million.
