It was a time to give another go at accessing the athletics team for the continental games the All Africa Games.

NAAZ competitions Director, Enias Nhoro said the times posted by most of the finalists in the Inter-Provincial Competition were impressive but bemoaned the failure of full representation by most provinces which resulted in restricted competition.

Three members of the 4×400 relay team comprising, David Tinago and Midlands based duo of Francis Zinara and Conias Mudzingwa were also in action and proved their worth.

Zinara won the 200m race while Tinago was second.

Mudzingwa had his share of competition in the men 400m where he crossed the finish line 2nd place behind winner Edson Brown.

Another 400m All Africa games entrant Grace Jimo crossed the finish line first with a time of 60.56 seconds.

The athletes will next weekend get another chance to fine tune when they compete in the Freda Rebecca athletics competition.
