Harare Province dominated the rebranded Zimbabwe National Youth Games rugby tournament scooping two gold medals in the under 23 boys and under 18 girls categories.
The rugby champions will be crowned at the official prize giving ceremony set for tomorrow.
Rugby enthusiasts were treated to some entertaining action on the final day of the revised Zimbabwe National Youth Games.
Favourites Harare Province under 23 boys rugby team collected a total of 15 points after having played 5 games to clinch the gold medal with ZTISU team settling for silver medal.
Mashonaland West finished on pole position in the boys under 18 category.
The directors of the sport codes which were held in the resort town expressed satisfaction with the level of competition and are convinced that the best athletes were identified for the select teams.
The Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services golf team reigned supreme securing the pole position after three rounds to clinch the gold medal in the open category while the host province golf team scooped the top prize in the girls category.
The gold medal in the boys under 18 category went to Bulawayo Province.
The new sport codes in particular golf, chess and rugby generated a lot of interests among the spectators with expectations that the games will be bigger and better next year.
