A Harare derby is in the horizon this weekend after Dynamos and Caps United were paired in the 2018 Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) Charity Shield semi-final.

The draw, which was conducted today during the official launch of the charity shield held at the army headquarters in Harare, will also see Highlanders and Chicken Inn battling it out in the other semi-final at Barbourfields Stadium.

The peak of the weekend is however the Rufaro showdown featuring the two Harare giants.

Caps United claimed the charity shield in 2016 and 2017, and Assistant Coach Fungai ‘Tostao’ Kwashi is hopeful that the Green Machine will retain the title.

Tostao’s opposite at Dynamos, Biggie Zuze was a bit worried by knocks picked up by some of his players in friendly encounters last weekend, but emphasised that the Glamour Boys are taking the charity shield seriously.

Winners of the ZNA Charity Shield will pocket $15000 with the runners-up set for a prize money of $10000.

The ZNA urged the nation to rally behind a cause of fundraising for ZNA charities.
