Harare City stormed to the summit of the Netball Super League (NSL) standings after a 57-38 victory over ZRP Team at the Mbare Netball Complex this afternoon.

Harare City were level on points with Correctional Queens heading into Friday’s (today) contest but a polished display kept the Sunshine Girls in the hunt for the NSL crown.

Despite clashing against a formidable ZRP Team currently in third place with 48 points and still with a chance of landing the top crown, the hosts showed determination and hunger for victory as they breezed to a 57-38 win which thrust them to the summit of the standings.

Harare City Queens head coach Ropafadzo Mutsauki was satisfied with the performance of his charges against one of the league’s top teams.

The Sunshine Girls top the standings with 54 points while Correctional Queens who are second with 52 points could reclaim top position if they win on Saturday (tomorrow).

ZRP Team is in third place with 48 points while Glow Petroleum is fourth with 46 points.
