Harare City ladies volleyball team is aiming to leave an indelible mark at the African Club Championships which roars into life in Cairo, Egypt from the 4th to the 16th of March.

Being the first Zimbabwean ladies team to participate at the African Club Championships, has motivated Harare City to target to leave a mark at the volleyball showdown.

The team believes it will build up from their last year’s Zone VI fine performance which saw them scoop a gold medal and in the process book a date with other volleyball power houses.

Harare City coach Tawanda Pamire is confident the team has done its homework to match other clubs in Egypt.

The coach said the team will not give their opponents a walk in the park since they are also setting to book a world league berth from the tournament used as qualifiers to the prestigious world tournament.

Harare City are set to leave for Cairo in two continent batches with the first group consisting of players and the target cynical team expected to depart on the 26th of this month.

Meanwhile, UZ Wolves who will represent the country in the men’s category at the same tournament are leaving no stone unturned in preparing for the African volleyball extravaganza.
