The trial of former MDC legislator and University of Zimbabwe lecturer, Munyaradzi Gwisai, is expected to continue this Wednesday.
The trial had been postponed on two consecutive occasions upon request by the defence counsel.
However, the Magistrate indicated that the trial must kick off this Wednesday to avoid further delays.Â
Gwisai is facing charges of inciting violence or participating in a gathering with the intention of causing public violence.
Earlier on a Magistrate who was presiding over the case, Ms Estere Chivasa recused herself from the case and another Regional Magistrate, Mr. Kudakwashe Jarabini took over as the new presiding magistrate.
Gwisai together with his accomplices were initially charged with plotting to unseat the government through popular revolts similar to those witnessed in Egypt and Tunisia. However, the charges were later on altered.
