The Minister of State for Midlands Province, Cde Jason Machaya has allocated more than 4000 residential stands to youths in Gweru, and has urged them to work closely with the city council and follow laid down procedures before erecting any structures.
So far 14500 residential stands have been availed to youths in Gweru.
“You must work hand in glove with the local authority and ensure that land is fully serviced before any structures can be erected,” Cde Machaya told the youths.
Zanu PF National Youth Secretary for Production and Labour, who is also the Deputy Minister for Tourism and Hospitality, Cde Annastacia Ndlovu and Zanu PF Provincial Youth Chairman, Cde Prosper Machando expressed gratitude to the government and its visionary leadership for availing stands to youths and assured Cde Machaya that the programme will follow laid down procedures.
After the meeting, Minister Machaya led the youth representatives to Worcestershire Park about 20km outside Gweru to show them the piece of land that they have been allocated.
