knowledge-musona.jpgThe local football fraternity has registered mixed feelings after Warriors interim coach Rahman Gumbo named a 24-man squad that will clash with Burundi in two weeks’ time.

On Saturday, Gumbo named a provisional squad with a surprise inclusion of old horses such as Poland-based defender, Dickson Choto, Esrom Nyandoro and Mussa Mguni.

This follows the recent suspension of 82 players and officials fingered in the Asiagate scandal.

Seasoned players such as Tapuwa Kapini, Noel Kaseke, Onismor Bhasera, Tinashe Nengomasha, Vusa Nyoni, Quincy Antipas and Knowledge Musona who were all part of the team that failed to qualify for Afcon 2012, are expected to be influential in Zimbabwe’s quest for a slot at Africa’s biggest football showpiece.
