rahman gumbo.jpgWarriors coach, Rahman Gumbo, has praised his troops for a brave fight in Bujumbura where they lost 2-1 to Burundi’s Swallows despite clear signs of disharmony among the players which was displayed after the game.

Gumbo seemed not to want to press any panic button after seeing his troops fall to a last minute sucker punch, choosing instead to be optimistic.

While the gaffer was singing praises for his charges, video footage captured just after the match in Bujumbura however gives testimony of a not-so-harmonised squad, with Onismo Bhasera seemingly taking a swipe at his team-mates particularly towards Mandla Sibanda, who is based in Botswana.

It appears Bhasera’s bone of contention with Sibanda originated from the second goal after the Warriors defence failed to organise itself and allowed Burundi to score the goal that sank the Warriors.

With a make shift squad hastily assembled for the Burundi 2013 AFCON qualifier preliminary opener, the defeat cast a dark shadow on the country’s qualification for the South Africa finals.
