Former Warriors shot stopper Bruce Grobbelaar, defender Dickson Choto and former Air Zimbabwe Jets player Calvin Adano have donated a soccer kit to an academy in Chitungwiza.

The trio led by former Liverpool, Highlanders and dream team member, Grobbelaar retraced their footsteps to where it all began at Far Post Academy in Zengeza 3.

The players donated a soccer kit to the Chitungwiza academy that bred them as well as players such Alois Bunjira and Patrick Daka.

Former referee Freddy Musonza who was also an instructor and assessor heaped praises on Grobbelaar’s gesture of retracing his footsteps to an academy that moulded him to become the most celebrated player.

Far Post Academy founder and former Black Aces midfield maestro Felix Masunda said his academy has produced top class players hence the donation will serve to motivate the youngsters.

The academy has an enrollment of 75 students for its five categories the under 11, 13, 15, 17 and 20.

Its latest initiative has been the introduction of girls soccer.
