Afro Jazz artiste, Tongai ‘Greatman’ Gwaze has received funding for his video, ‘Gegede’ from Chivi South legislator, Cde Killer Zivhu

The voice is compelling and so is the message, it is a song written straight from the heart by an artist who understands disability and has learnt to live with his disability.

“Pana Gegede ndirikutoseka hangu nhamo serugare,” Greatman said.

The song, released in December last year, tagged the heart of Cde Zivhu to search for the talented artist on Facebook  and offer financial assistance in the video production as well as to cater for some of his daily needs.

Cde Zivhu also appointed the talented musician ambassador of his ‘My Nation First, Me Second Campaign,’ which is set to be launched this year.

Greatman was born in Mhangura with congenital malformations and is unable to use his hands and legs.

The musician hogged the limelight last year with his song ‘Pandakazvarwa, which he collaborated with Dendera musician, Sulumani Chimbetu.

He is now set to go on a tour in the UK with Chimbetu, Alick Macheso and She Calaz.

However, the tour is hanging in the balance as visas and air tickets for Greatman and his care giver are yet to be paid for after his sponsor ditched him at  last minute.
