Zimbabwe Agricultural Society (ZAS) has credited the government initiated command agriculture programme for boosting the quality of the cereal crop produced this year.
The executive chairman of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Society Mr Ivan Craig has thanked the government for boosting cereal crop produce through command agriculture.
Handing over prizes to Mr and Mrs Zanda Jokera of Matope village in Mt Darwin, Mr Craig says he is optimistic that with achievements registered by the command agriculture programme, this year’s Harare Agricultural Show will certainly be exciting with various produce of good quality.
Mr and Mrs Jokera won third prize in the agriculture produce section and walked away with a water pump, 2 tonne portable grain silo, motorbike and maize seed.
The 107th edition of the Harare Agricultural Show will run from the 21st to the 26th of August.
