fish.jpgPlayers in the fishing industry have called on the government to work out a strategy that will protect them from paying double tax to Hwange Rural District Council and Parks and Wildlife Management Authority as this makes the business unviable.

Speaking to ZBC News at Msuna Fishing Resort in the Zambezi River, the players say they pay US$20 per month and another US$5 every year to Parks and Wildlife Management Authority and another US$25 to Hwange Rural District Council.

The Parks and Wildlife Management Authority Parks is charging US$20 for a licence to buy fish from a legal source per month and US$20 for those using nets.
