The Ministry of Health and Child Care has launched a comprehensive customer care service to improve health delivery at the country’s hospitals.

This follows complaints by citizens against poor services and harassment of patients at health institutions.

Poor service delivery at the country’s hospitals and clinics has seen most people opting for private hospitals.

It is against this background that the Ministry of Health and Child Care is reviving the public health institutions to be centres of choice.

Guest of honour at the launch, the First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa said there is need to reduce waiting time before patients are attended to.

The programme comes in the wake of increased complaints against nurses with Parirenyatwa Group of Hospital being singled out on social media for harassing patients.

The training programme is expected to be rolled out at all health institutions in an effort to transform health delivery in the country.
