Government says it is committed to put more resources on infrastructure development of schools and material for the new curriculum. 

Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Professor Paul Mavima said he is happy about the $18 million given to his ministry by Treasury adding that it will be directed towards school development while working with other development partners.

House of Assembly member for Kuwadzana constituency Cde Betty Nhambu Kaseke bemoaned the issue of sprouting private schools which outnumber government schools a situation that needs to be addressed as private colleges are expensive.

Headmistress Kuwadzana 6 Primary Mr Rachel Chimwe noted that non-payment of schools fees by parents’delays the completion of schools projects.

Minister Mavima has been visiting schools since he took office to assess the situation on the ground about challenges faced by schools.
