Stakeholders have welcomed the Goromonzi Rural District Council’s 2018 proposed budget which they say prioritises development.

With the proposed 2018 budget having no increases, stakeholders have welcomed it saying it puts the interests of residents first.

Chairperson of the Goromonzi Business Association, Mr Kudzai Majuru and Goromonzi Residents Association leader, David Ndoro, hailed the budget which prioritises service delivery.

Goromonzi RDC CEO, Mr Trust Madhovi, said the budget factors in all ZIMASSET clusters with more emphasis on infrastructural development.

The local authority did not put in any increases on the budget and have maintained the 2017 rates.

The budget has since been published in the media for objections within the 30 day period required by the law.
