Cde Mutize said there is need to prop up young people through the provision of adequate inputs as the country’s economy is agrarian driven.

“These inputs which you got today must be put to good use to ensure that as the youth you play your part in ensuring food security for the nation,” Cde Mutize said.

Meanwhile, Cde Mutize also handed over 2 tonnes of cement for the construction of a maternity wing at Nyauri Ditstrict Clinic.

Women who spoke to ZBC News said they welcomed the construction of a new maternity wing as it will go a long way in alleviating their plight.

“The maternity wing will help us deliver safely as some of us were now giving birth at home,” said one woman.

The top dressing ammonium nitrate fertiliser is set assist the youths who are involved in crop production in the area, while the maternity wing will solve the lack of the services in an area serviced by a small clinic which caters for 5 100 people.
