The pavement bricks have found a ready market in local schools

While some people complain about lack of job opportunities, one young man from Gokwe South is proving that it takes ordinary people who are determined to make their ideas work.

Soon after completing his ordinary level, Rabson Chifali (22) found himself with no job but instead of lamenting about the lack of opportunities, the young man decided to experiment using sand and recycled plastic, and what came out of the experiment transformed his life and is set to be a game changer in the construction sector in the country as he began to make pavement tiles using sand and recycled plastic.

The young man’s project, which is now employing 8 people, has managed not only to clean the environment, but also to employ the locals who pick the plastic litter.

Since he began the project in 2016, he has managed to supply his pavement bricks to local schools and households.

The future belongs to those who dare to dream and if given the necessary support, Rabson says only the sky is the limit.

Those who believe in his dreams certainly have a reason to celebrate Rabson Chifali’s milestone.
