Suspected goblins are wreaking havoc at Monde primary school outside Victoria Falls, where eight pupils, all girls have been attacked on numerous occasions.

Pupils at the school reportedly formed a church known as Christ Authority with a bishop, elders, deacons and various other positions all held by school pupils.

Since the formation of the church, a number of girls have allegedly seen strange creatures not seen by other pupils.

The latest incident occurred when one of the girls saw the suspected goblins while they were at a church executive meeting preparing for an all-night prayer.

Each member was contributing 10 cents which they would have used to buy bread for the all night prayer and the girl was attacked when she failed to raise the money.

So daring are the goblins that even the daughter of Monde village head, Mrs Sindisiwe Hwata fell victim.

“She said she saw a woman who was walking with something that looked like a baboon. When she got home she was looking so strange and I could not understand what was going on. Then I prayed for her and she slept. I kept on praying until the third day when I asked my church mates to help me pray then after those prayers she vomited blood,” said Mrs Hwata about her daughter.

According to other parents whose children also fell victim, they would collapse on different occasions.

Some would froth from the mouth, vomit blood, lose eye sight and become weak while one of them had a swollen stomach.

The parents got worried when they took their children to hospital and were told that there was nothing wrong with them hence a prayer session led by an inter-denominational group was held at the school this Wednesday afternoon.

However, Mpisi village head, Mr Melusi Ndlovu believes parents are not forthcoming with the truth, adding that all efforts that are not traditional are a complete waste of time as the goblins will only disappear temporarily.

“We don’t know why parents are not forthcoming with information. Maybe some of them are directly involved and want to conceal their issues, but in any case this cannot be solved by prayer, your modern hospitals, it is a matter of tradition,” he said.

Meanwhile Monde primary school authorities referred all questions to the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.
