In an interview with ZBC News, blood procurement spokesperson, Emmanuel Masvikenyi, said the demand for blood has risen significantly, as most district hospitals are now accessing blood due to increased donor funding.

He said the demand for blood has also increased as most malaria patients will need transfusion during this malaria season.

The campaign drive will be launched by the Minister of Health and Child Welfare, Dr Henry Madzorera and will be held under the theme, “Give Blood, Give Love”.
