general chiwengaaaa.jpgThe Commander of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, General Constantine Chiwenga says religion, politics and economics cannot be separated in the discussion of power.

General Chiwenga made the remarks while giving a presentation at a seminar for the Anglican clergy held at St. Johns in Chikwaka.

He said many analysts of the partition of Africa related the missionary movement of Europe with the brutal occupation of Africa which means that religion, politics and economics can not be alianated in any discussion of power.

Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Zimbabwe, Dr Nobert Kunonga said there is need to support indigenous churches in Zimbabwe for they are the ones who have the ability to preach the word of God in the Zimbabwean context.

The five-day seminar was attended by 147 delegates who include bishops, priests, deacons and ordinances from the Archdioceses of Harare, Chitungwiza, Manicaland and Mashonaland East, Central and West provinces.
