Former Cote D’evoire President, Laurent Gbagbo who appeared before the International Criminal Court (ICC) yesterday has denied all charges levelled against him.

 

Gbagbo faces four counts of crimes against humanity, including murder and rape, during last year’s disputed presidential elections.

The former President also rejected accusations that elections were rigged and accused former colonial power, France, of plotting to topple him from power.

The African Union has accused the icc of concentrating on alleged atrocities committied in africa and ignoring crimes elsewhere in the world.
