The late former ZBC journalist and pioneer of ZBC morning live breakfast news show, This Morning, now Good Morning Zimbabwe, Christina Masaraure Taruvinga, who died in the United Kingdom on Thursday last week will be buried at Kettering Cemetery outside London this Tuesday afternoon at 3pm Zimbabwean time.
The burial will be preceded by a church service at Corby Church of Christ at Greenhill Rise in Kettering,132 km from London.
Christina, who joined the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation as a reporter on 1 November 1992 and rose through the ranks to become editor-in-chief in May 2002, after introducing the morning live breakfast news show, This Morning, now Good Morning Zimbabwe, succumbed to breast cancer.
Christina, fondly known by friends and colleagues as Kiki, left ZBC to join her husband in the United Kingdom in June 2003.
In the UK, she was employed as a Communications Manager for a group of care hospitals in the UK.
Her mother, husband Josphat, children and former colleagues including former ZBC colleagues, who include former TV presenter Cleopatra Tsimba, are in attendance.
