Former Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Mavhura and former Director Human Resources and Administration, Benania Shumba who are facing allegations of fraud, have been granted bail.

Mavhura and Shumba were granted bail at the Harare Magistrate Court on condition that they pay ZWL5 000 each, surrender their travelling documents and live at their stated addresses.

The two have been ordered to report to their designated police stations every Monday and Friday.

Mavhura will report at Borrowdale Police Station, while Shumba will report at Highlands Police Station pending trial on 8 October.

The former CEO was arrested last Thursday while Shumba was picked up a day later on allegations of siphoning more than US$340 000 from the national broadcaster.
