Zimbabwean players plying their trade abroad were in good form at the weekend with Khama Billiat, Walter Musona and Evans Rusike, on target for their clubs.
Billiat maintained his rich vein of form with an impressive strike for Mamelodi Sundowns on Friday evening.
With the game deadlocked at nil-all Percy Tau embarked on a solo run before picking out Billiat who fired home an all important goal that steered Mamelodi Sundowns to 58 points.
Elsewhere Evans Rusike scored his maiden goal for Supersport United in a 4-2 win over Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday.
Also on target in the Absa premiership was Knox Mutizwa who scored for Golden Arrows in a losing cause.
Mutizwa scored an opener in the 51st minute but Ovidy Karuru’s Amazulu clawed their way back to register a 2-1 victory.
On Sunday, Walter Musona produced a man of the match performance in Polokwane City’s 1-all draw with Ajax Cape Town.
Musona opened the scoring in the 69th minute but his goal was cancelled in the 81st minute.
In Europe, Tinotenda Kadewere was on target in a training practice match as Djurgadens prepare for the 2018 season.
Kadewere is looking gain top form after spending weeks on the sidelines due to injury in 2017.
