Condolence messages for the late Tendai Mupfurutsa continue to pour in with members of the Sokhaya Football League which he sponsored describing his death as a great loss to the people as the musician helped in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
The death of the musician who was also a businessman and philanthropist has been described as a great loss in the fight against stigma associated with the HIV and AIDS pandemic.
Speaking to ZBC News on the tragic loss of Prince Tendai, Sokhaya Project Director, Mr Chris Sambo said the void left by Tendai is hard to fill as he gave hope to HIV positive women helping them overcome the stigma associated with the pandemic through sponsoring teams of women footballers living positively with the virus.
Sokhaya Project Coordinator, Ms Winnie Manhenga, who is a former football player, mourned Mupfurutsa’s death saying the league he sponsored has been plunged into uncertainty as Tendai was the driving force behind.
